In order to achieve “iron health,” it is necessary to adopt healthy living choices. There are a variety of strategies that may be implemented to ensure that well-being prevails, ranging from nutrition to physical activity. The excuse of not having enough time to live a healthy life has long ago fallen out of favour with the general public.

It is easy to include tactics for achieving complete well-being into one’s daily routine without even recognising it. In honour of World Health Day, we’ve compiled a list of practical suggestions to help you live a happier and healthier life.

RELIEVE STRESS

Stress is something that takes over the body as a result of the frantic pace of modern life and the pressure of meeting tight deadlines at work.

Headaches, nervousness, insomnia, and gastrointestinal issues are just a few of the side effects.

  • What can you do?

Whenever you feel more nervous or agitated, attempt to calm yourself using a method that is utilised in acupuncture to help you relax. Measure three fingers starting at the wrist. Apply pressure to the centre of the wrist at the spot where the third finger contacts, until you feel a mild pain. Allow for about 2 minutes of gentle massage with your thumb in a firm circular motion around the spot. Repeat the process on the opposite wrist.

PRACTICE PHYSICAL EXERCISE

Exercising regularly is an important component of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Many health advantages may be obtained through practising it, including improved cardiovascular and respiratory performance, decreased fat mass, increased muscle mass, a stronger immune system, and the ability to slow certain ageing processes, among other things.

  • What can you do?

If you believe you don’t have time to exercise, consider switching from a vehicle or public transportation to a bicycle as a mode of transportation from your house to your place of employment.

ANTICIPATE ILLNESS

Early diagnosis of several illnesses, particularly oncological disorders, is critical for more successful treatment of these conditions.

  • What can you do?

In addition to being aware of potential symptoms, it is critical to do screening. According to the World Health Organization’s website, these are “basic tests carried out on a healthy population in order to detect persons who have the illness but have not yet shown symptoms” (WHO).
